Genis Sage is a half elf who lives in Aselia and is friends with Lloyd Irving and Collete Brunel. He is also the brother of Raine Sage, the teacher of the school in Aselia. When Collete leaves on her journey for the world regeneration, Lloyd and Genis join up with her to help on her quest. Genis is known for his intellect, exceptional skill with magic and extraordinary cooking ability. Genis tend to joke around a lot but can also be serious when he needs to. In battle, Genis is a spellcaster who uses a kendama as a weapon.
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
After the quest for the world regeneration is over Lloyd goes off on his mission to recover the exspheres. After two years Genis and Raine become worried about Lloyd and they seperate in hopes of finding him. While on Emil's quest to recover the exspheres you run into Genis at the Triet Ruins and he joins your party. When he meets up with Lloyd inside the ruins he is ignored and Lloyd leaves without saying so much of a word to Genis. After this encounter, Genis and Raine decide to leave the group and try to follow Lloyd.
