[edit] Introduction

On his quest to attain fame and explore, Stahn Aileron sneaks onto the flying ship Draconis to begin his adventure. Stahn is eventually found on board and the crew forces him to help with the work on the ship. Not so long after, Draconis is attacked by monsters and the crew is outnumbered by their hostile invaders. Stahn searches the ship for a weapon to help fight and he eventually find a sword though he believes it is just a piece of junk. But then the sword begins talking to him, claiming to me Dymlos, a Swordian from the Aeth'er Wars. Together with Dymlos, Stahn gets to an escape pod an escapes the crashing ship and continues on his adventure.

The Playstation 2 Remake was released in Japan on November 30, 2006. There were a few minor differences. The Director's Cut version of the remake of Tales of Destiny was released on January 31, 2008 in Japan. There were a few slight differences here, such as added content.

[edit] Battle

Tales of Destiny utilizes the Enhanced Linear Motion Battle System (E-LMBS) where characters fight on a 2D field in real time. The one exception to the real time battling is spell casting where casting time increases with the difficulty of the spell being cast. When the spell chanting is complete the fight will stop momentarily for a small cutscene to launch the spell. As with other Tales games, you have HP and TP and gain experience points toward leveling up with each victory.
