Zelos Wilder (ゼロス　ワイルダア Zerosu Wairudaa) is one of the main characters in both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Both him and Colette are Chosens of their respective worlds. Zelos manipulates his role as the Chosen One to aid the party at times (in Tethe'alla, the Chosen is the highest-ranking power, second to the throne). On the surface, Zelos is a typical flirt, romanticist, and aristocrat, with a bold, cocky, and zealous nature. However, he is actually a very calculating and cool-headed person. His thoughts are actually quite logical, contrary to his facade.

Regarding battle, Zelos has the same techniques and magic skills as Kratos, though he cannot use any angelic skills. Comparing and contrasting Kratos and Zelos, the former is slower (but stronger), and vice versa. Certain techniques are easier to use with either Kratos or Zelos.
