[edit] Early Game

During Alisha's first visit to Elysia, Mason can be spoken to. He is one of the people who explain that Seraphim cannot be seen by humans.

After Alisha has left the village, during the encounter with Lunarre, Mason is murdered and eaten by the latter.

[edit] Relationships

[edit] Sorey and Mikleo

Though Mason's involvement in Tales of Zestiria is short lived, there are opportunities to speak to him while in Elysia for Alisha's visit. He shows a fondness of Sorey and Mikleo common to the village, and considers them family as much as the others. He admires Sorey's strength during one conversation, and remarks that he is special on account of his high resonance in another.

[edit] Natalie

It is implied throughout Tales of Zestiria that Natalie and Mason have a closer (or at least different) relationship to each other than to the others in Elysia. During conversations with the two of them upon Alisha’s first visit, they are standing close to each other. Natalie later mentions Mason by name when discussing the seraphim searching the forest for the intruding hellion. It is also Natalie who reacts the most to Mason’s death, continuing to bring it up with Sorey throughout the game up until after the invasion of Elysia. She expresses worry that she will become a hellion because of the grief, and resolves to work through it before such a thing can come to pass.

[edit] Quotes

  • "You get it, don't you, Sorey? We're invisible to humans! Just the fact that you can live alongside us like this makes you pretty special."
  • "Sorey, are you training yourself up? Whatever you're doing, you sure look like you're brimming with power and energy. Is it that you fought something in the ruins?"
  • "It seems she's quite taken with how beautiful Elysia is."
